Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Dismas smiles to himself and pours her another drink. "Riki have you lived here your entire life? Do you see everything that's going on? This place sure has a lot of... secrets, doesn't it?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Aye...secerts." Her tone is a little suspicious. "This place is full of them. No, I haven't lived here my entire life, but most of it."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Loren suddenly snarls and grabs Dismas by the throat. In a surprising bout of strength she literally lifts him in the air and slams him against the wall. "If you care for your own safety then I demand you leave this place immediately."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"What in the world? Loren? What's going on?" Riki rises from her seat.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Dismas hits the wall and falls to the ground. He rises slowly, rubbing his throat. "Second time today, damn." He looks back at Loren and surprisingly, a smile spreads on his face. Again. "Okay, Loren. I'll leave. On one condition though, you give me a kiss."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Loren's expression doesn't falter, apparently this isn't the first time Dismas has tried to use this trick. "As I stated earlier, Dismas, I am already taken. Now leave."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Onarav eyes Loren and Dismas as he sips his wine, make no movement to interfer. Instead, his thoughts are on his brother and his late son's castle. He would have to visit there next.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Dismas shakes his head. "Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I don't think you understand. I'm asking you politely. Please give me a kiss. Or else..."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
As the seemingly unending chaos of the bar continues, there's some quiet laughter from Serafine, followed by the continuing scritching of pen on paper. After finally finishing her page, the pale girl slinks over to the table closest to Night and settles herself down again.
Is it usually like this in here? Or does it sometimes get... normal? |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Loren snarls again, weighing her options. On one hand, she couldn't afford to have Dismas run out and blab everything to whoever might care. But on the other hand...
Loren turns to Onarav. "You're going to the castle I assume. Do you mind if I tag along?" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Dismas' smile fades. His eyes widen. He stares at Loren with piercing eyes... "Don't say I didn't warn you, Loren." Dismas slowly walks out of the cafe, shouting back. "Say hi to everyone for me, Loren!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Onarav looks at Loren, glancing at Dismas. "That I am, and I have no problem with the company of a woman such as yourself." Onarav finishes his wine and stands.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Loren quickly disregards Dismas' comment and gives Onarav a broad grin. "Very well.. Gin, was it?" She slings the sack she carried in over her shoulder and heads towards the exit.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Onarav walks next to Loren as they exit. "Intresting fellow that man was, how is it you know him to the point of tolerating him?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Loren frowns slightly. "It's.. circumstances out of my control, really.. Dismas knows something that, if revealed, could ultimately cost me my life. But.." She sighs, almost dreamily. "That's not important to me."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Pax hadn't departed from the cafe yet; his robed form was slumped over the table he'd dilligently guarded the entire night, and each deep breath sounded hollow as it echoed out from the chamber formed by his folded arms and head.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night casually prods Pax with a paw, trying to wake the 'sleeping beauty.'
Riki makes a face. She wasn't welcomed at the Castle, and would be thrown out again. Sighing, she hurries and tries to catch up with Dismas. "I'm sick of being alone." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
The groggy half-breed slumps backwards in his seat, reclining until he teeters precariously on the back legs of his chair. It is only the whim of a benevolent God that he doesn't fall, and he settles himself back squarely on the chair's four legs with a wide yawn.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night studies him. "I think I would like to talk to you about what you are, where you come from, and the trials of your life...in other words, get to know you."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
It's lucky Pax hadn't been too surprised by Nightbringer's waking, or he may have said something he'd regret to this strange creature. "A-ah, if you insist," says the amber-eyed halfbreed with a deep sigh. He then sets his elbows on the table and his chin on his upturned palms, staring nonchalantly at this montage of species. "Shoot."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You're not human, yet you are not of any thing I've ever met before. You're covered in scales. Logic says you are a dragon, but common sense rules that out. The dragon kind is extinct. So what are you?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"E-extinct?" His brows quirk at this ominous word while a crestfallen expression flits across his face. "A-ah, well... I hadn't heard that my kind was extinct... I am a dragon, but I'm working to change that- as you can see. If I'm really the last of my kind, maybe the change is for the best..."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Why would you want to change into a human? Humans are disgusting, they create only to destroy. You are the last of your kind...if you change into a human, you'd ruin any chance your race had left."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Well I hope you don't entertain any misconceptions of my personality- I have no intention of single-handedly saving my race." Pax sighs and rubs at his eyes- his long sleep had apparently not quite evanesced his fatigue. "If someone has decided that dragons are not fit to live in this world, then I'd rather hid from him than prove him otherwise."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night snarls and pokes Pax with a claw. "You've got to be kidding me. You would rather let the most noble, intelligent, and powerful creature die out so you can hide under the title of a measly human, then stand up to your foes and save the dragon race?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Yeow!! Merciful heavens, those claws are wicked!" Pax glowers and rubs the now-sore site of said poking. "And I appreciate the praise... but I'm hardly the noblest, wisest and strongest dragon."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I never said you were. I said your kind were. Personally, right now, I think you are a disgrace to your entire species." She pokes him again, harder.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"God Lord that hurts!" exclaims Pax, and he bats your paw away before you can venture any more lethal pokes. "Look, I hardly see any reason to get myself killed for the dignity of a dead race- 'sides, I've yet to master the art of asexual reproduction, so this is likely the last dragon you're going to see..."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night pokes Pax again, harder, just for plain fun.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Pax senses this badgering has lost any relevence to the survival of his race, and has degraded to sheer 'I feel like heckling the dragonman'. With rapidly increasing frustration, Pax bats away Night's paw with his gloved hand.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She purrs, her way of laughing. Now just having fun, apparently not caring that much about the dragon race, she waits until Pax is looking away to poke the back of his neck with her wing, then his leg with her claw. "Silly half-human."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Pax has long since averted his gaze, and hopes that ignoring the creature will finally get it to stop pestering him. "If you do not stop, I will stab you repeatedly." ...Subtlety be damned.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night, bored, idly tears Pax's leg pant to shreds. "Why a human, though? Why not an elf, or a demon?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Within moments, Pax has slipped a dagger from the confines of his sleeve and into his palm, the blade pointing warily at your snout. "Because I trying for 'incognito'- I doubt elves or demons have any fewer prejudices to their names than dragons do."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night ignores the blade completly and continues to shred the pants leg. "Demons seem to walk here freely." One pant leg down, one to go.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"as fascinating as I find this, I really must ask you to stop..." Pax idly etches circles in your fur with the tip of the dagger- not yet drawing blood- while the lacerated garments begin mending themselves.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She flicks a wing, knocking the knife away. "Interesting clothing." Having seen her work undoing itself, she begins to tear it again. "This could keep me entertained all day. May I have your pants?" She purrs, looking up at him with round, silver eyes.
((o.o;; That wasn't meant the way it sounded.)) |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Pax, after a few moments of enduring this degrading behavior, finally gets up from his chair and deals a swift kick to Nightbringer- and then, running for dear life straight to the Battle Arena.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night hisses, and despite her recent injuries from the previous battle with Dominic, she follows after him.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
How terribly disappointing. Everyone's gone and left us. Well. I guess we'll go as well. Wonder where all the action is?
From somewhere in the rafters, a sphere of metal about 4 and a half inches across drops down and ends up floating next to Serafine as she stands up. It follows her as she walks, not glowing, nor seeming to have any indication of propulsion. It doesn't even have the decency to make a humming noise. As Serafine leaves, it stops and takes a quick look around the cafe, apparently checking to make sure that Serafine's not forgotten anything |
